Together with the House of Finance at Frankfurt University the Konfuzius-Institut Frankfurt is delighted to welcome two renowned scholars of economic studies, Prof WAN Guanghua 万广华 and Dr. MA Bin 马斌, from the Chinese partner university Fudan (Shanghai).

A. China’s Growth Prospect in the Medium to Long Run – Prof WAN Guanghua:
中国中长期增长前景 – 主讲人：万广华

Professor WAN Guanghua is Director, Institute of World Economy, Fudan University. He is the former Research Director, the Asian Development Bank Institute and Head of Poverty/Inequality Group, Asian Development Bank. Prior to ADB/ADBI, he is a senior economist in the United Nations and taught in a number of Universities in Australia and China. Trained in development economics and econometrics, Professor Wan is a multi-award-wining scholar on the Chinese economy and an expert on Asia, with an outstanding publication record of more than 100 professional articles and a dozen of books including two by Oxford University Press. An honorary professor of over ten top institutions in China including Xiamen and Zhejiang Universities, Dr. Wan is among the top 8% economists globally and top 4% in Asia according to the latest ranking of RePEc.

万广华，复旦大学特聘教授、博导，复旦大学世界经济研究所所长。1990-2017年期间任职于悉尼大学（讲师、副教授）、联合国（高级经济学家）和亚洲开发银行（研究部主任、贫困与收入分配研究小组负责人）。曾兼任云南财经大学校长助理、西北农林科技大学经济管理学院院长、BBC中国经济评论专家、国内外20多个权威经济学期刊的审稿人或客座主编，2010年入选首批云南省百人计划,2018年入选上海千人计划。据RePEc对经济学家的排名，在全球居前8%，亚洲居前4%。数次进入《世界名人录》。

 

B. Railway Transportation and China-Central Asia Cooperation: Myth and Reality of China Railway Express – Dr. MA Bin
铁路运输及中国在中亚的合作：高铁的神话与现实 – 主讲人：马斌

Dr. MA Bin, research fellow at the Center for Russia and Central Asia Studies, Institute of International Studies, Institute of BRI and Global Governance, Fudan University, Shanghai, China, visiting scholar at Columbia University(2013-2014), his study covers Belt and Road Initiative, political risk, official development assistance, Russia and Central Asian affairs, and focuses on China Railway Express and China’s infrastructure cooperation abroad in recent years. Dr. Ma has published 2 books, Reshaping the Heartland: U.S. Aiding Policy toward Central Asia in the Post-Cold War Era (2015), Risks of BRI Investment (2016).

马斌，博士，助理研究员，复旦大学国际问题研究院俄罗斯中亚研究中心、复旦大学“一带一路”与全球治理研究院政治与战略研究所，美国哥伦比亚大学访问学者（2013-2014）。研究领域主要包括：“一带一路”、海外投资风险、俄罗斯中亚政治与外交、国际发展等。近来主要关注中欧班列、海外投资的政治风险等问题。目前，已出版《重塑心脏地带：冷战后美国对中亚援助政策研究》、《“一带一路”投资风险研究：以中亚为例》等2部专著；同时，主持和参与国家社科基金青年项目、教育部重大攻关课题子课题等多项科研项目。
