We are delighted to announce that the Sinology Department at the Goethe University, Confucius Institute Frankfurt, and Fudan University will co-host a Young Scholars’ Forum for German and Chinese doctoral students specialized in China Studies, humanities and social sciences in particular, from 15-16 November, 2024.

This forum is known for its friendly and inspiring atmosphere as well as the depth of discussion. It provides a platform for fledging scholars to present their works to an international audience and to communicate their peers in other universities.

We will provide accommodation for all participants (max. 2 nights). For participants from the Germanophone area, we can reimburse train travel costs up to 100 Euro. For international participants, once the abstract is selected, the compensation of travel costs will be handled on an individual basis. If for some reason the physical workshop cannot take place, the academic exchange will be enabled by a virtual workshop.
